The Importance of Letters

I always had a tough time speaking and finding the right words regardless of my stutter. Growing up I spoke the way I used to. I did not think about the words coming out my mouth mostly. My brain was always faster than my mouth. Fortunately now I speak much slower and more precise.

One day I had an idea. I would just write a letter and give in to the closest person. A couple years ago before the pandemic I would start and it felt so much better. Everything that I felt was written down on paper. From the highest highs that I thought of with that human being to the lowest of lows but it was from the heart. It was written out of desperation and love. It meant the world to me and to see my most important people in my life tear up and get emotional when they read it made me really sentimental. This is what life is about. Making memories, finding ways to go down to and in the process create a special moment for your loved ones. Even more so in today’s times when we can have it as easy as never before. We can send some words in a few seconds through our phone with a big portion of indifference. It’s easy and still some people don’t know it. Create a little portion of free time in your day and really write a letter to your loved ones. It is absolutely beautiful when you think about all the moments and memories when you see the blank page and through your mind goes so many nostalgic memories with that particular person. Try it out 🙂
